During your stay in East Africa, you will begin at the foothills of Mt Kenya, down the rolling hills of central highland to the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. Famous Masai Mara and Serengeti game reserves will be beckoning as you next destination. From the savannah grasslands you head south to the Ngorongoro crater-“eighth wonder of the world,” Wind up your journey at Lake Manyara, famously know for the tree-climbing lions, as you head back to Nairobi for your preparation back home.

Day one,Nairobi

Arrive Jomo Kenyatta international airport, where you will be met by our representative and after a short briefing transferred to your hotel. Lunch and dinner on own arrangement. Overnight at Ole Sereni Hotel (BB)

Day two,Mount Kenya

After breakfast and check out, drive to Mt Kenya Region, known for the impressive landscapes in and its glacier-clad summits and spectacular middle slopes with afro-alpine flora. It has twelve remnant glaciers, protecting highest peaks of Nelion (5, 188m), Batian (5, 199m) and Point Lenana (4, 985m). It also has major wildlife attractions in Kenya which include Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Sykes Monkeys, Albino Zebra, Antelope, Black and White Colobus, Black Rhino, Olive Baboon, Bush Pig and Hyena. Among birds Sunbirds, Hyrax and Eagles are commonly seen here. Check in at your hotel for an overnight of game viewing from the balcony and view decks. Day three,Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha

Drive up the moorland peaks and high forest making the Aberdares ranges. Descend into the Great Rift valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. After a sumptuous lunch at the lodge followed by a leisurely afternoon game drive, Continue to Lake Naivasha for your overnight. Lake Naivasha is a diverse bird and animal habitat, with the lake itself supporting animals such as hippo and over 200 species of birds. Here the avid birdwatcher sees paradise in a vast array of exotic birdlife. This is the safari traveler’s place of relaxation and rejuvenation; a perfect blend of luxury and safari spirit. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (L-DBB)

Day four,Masai Mara Game Reserve

After an early breakfast, traverse the floor of the Great Rift Valley and ascend its western rim to the Masai Mara Game reserve. Red-clad with spears, Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Arrive for check in and lunch at your lodge followed an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife. Dinner and Overnight at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge (L-DBB)

Day five,Masai Mara Game Reserve

Another day spent enjoying a full day game-viewing in the reserve with picnic lunch or go for an early morning game drive lunch at the lodge and an evening game drive. The Masai Mara is for many reasons the most spectacular game reserve in Kenya- a vast expanse of undulating grasslands and woodlands where it is possible to see over a dozen different species of game, including the Big 5!. Other optional activities available in the Mara include a visit to the local Maasai village where you get to learn the Maasai’s cultures and way of life or take an early morning balloon safari ending with bush breakfast (all at own cost & payable direct). Day six,Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunches to Isebania border where you will clear customs and meet your Tanzanian driver guides. With a game drive enroute, continue to your lodge situated in the heart Serengeti National Park. This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable – from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Day Seven,Serengeti National Park

Another full day in the Serengeti – Tanzania’s most renowned national park. Home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth, the migratory herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam widely in search of green grass and water.  Enjoy morning and afternoon or optional full day game drives with picnic lunches. Day Eight,Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Depart after breakfast and drive south past the Ndutu plains to Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important prehistoric archaeological sites on Earth. It was here in the 1950’s that Louis and Mary Leakey first uncovered the fossilized teeth and skull of one of our earliest ancestors. After an interpretive presentation, continue to your lodge situated on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. The crater covers over 250 square kilometres (over 100 square miles) of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Day Nine,Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, make the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the Earth’s largest unbroken caldera.  A veritable “Garden of Eden”, the Crater is reputed to contain the highest density of carnivores, which includes cheetah, leopard and lion. This is the only place in East Africa where one can easily observe a natural population of black rhino. Enjoy a full day exploring the crater with a deluxe picnic lunch. Ascend back to the lodge in time to enjoy the sundown. All meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (BLD)

Day Ten,Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast drive Lake Manyara famous for its prolific bird-life and tree climbing lions. After fulfilling game drive proceed to your lodge situated at the edge of the escarpment. This afternoon you will be at leisure enjoying the lodges’ swimming pool. All meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (BLD)

Day Eleven,Arusha to Nairobi

An early morning breakfast and check out followed by a drive to Arusha to arrive in time for lunch at the Cultural Heritage. After lunch, transfer to Namanga border where you clear customs and meet the Kenyan driver to Nairobi. Dinner on own arrangement with overnight at Ole Sereni Hotel (BL)

Day Twelve,Depart

Breakfast at your hotel and depending on your departure flight timings you will check out and transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
