Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you are met by our representative. You will then be transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Lake Victoria Serena Hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2: Entebbe –Kibale National Park /. Approx. 6hrs drive In the morning you will enjoy the scenic drive to Kibale National Park with a lunch en route. Overnight: Kyaninga Lodge (Full Board)

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park /. Approx. 4 hrs drive Today you will exit the park with more game viewing and be transferred to Bwindi National Park. The afternoon is spent at leisure. Overnight: Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (Full Board)

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge

Guests at Clouds stay in their own cottage. Built of local volcanic stone, every cottage has a large sitting room with fireplace, vast overstuffed armchairs, and hand-woven carpets. The main lodge feels like someplace else, soaring ceilings, massive exposed wooden beams, big picture windows with endless views of treetops, volcanoes and mountains. With the gentle and warm welcome, the quiet dedication of the personal butlers and the smiles on the faces of virtually all the staff, the customer service is exceptional.

Day 7: Bwindi National Park – Gorilla Trekking Following an early breakfast, transfer to the national park offices where you will be allocated a gorilla family as well as a gorilla tracking guide. After a pre-tracking briefing by your guide touching on the gorillas generally, your assigned gorilla family as well as safety precautions, you drive to the trailhead for the start of a thrilling adventure. Expect to walk between 2 and 8 hours in steep and sometimes muddy conditions with rain overhead, which can be tough and require a degree of (average) fitness. However the thrill of coming face to face with a giant mountain gorilla silverback completely makes up the effort!

Please remember to bring your passport for registration, appropriate water proof hiking boots and a light rain coat. To protect from stinging nettles, we recommend long pants and long sleeved tops. A pair of old gardening gloves can help grabbing onto the vegetation while most hotels/lodges provide a walking stick that come in very handy especially when hiking downhill. A small waterproof backpack is an excellent idea to carry a light snack, bottled water as well as protection for your camera.

Day 8: Bwindi National Park – Kigali /. Approx. 5 hrs drive In the morning drive to the Rwanda border and after crossing proceed to Kigali with a lunch en route. Overnight: The Retreat By Heaven (Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)

Day 9: Kigali – Departure Today you will have a city tour of Kigali including a visit to the Genocide Museum a grim reminder of a senseless massacre of innocent’s lives in 1994. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide and how this country has dealt with that past. Tour more and see the new developments in Rwanda. You will visit different commercial “quartiers”, business and residential areas, an optional visit to one of the Kigali markets and some of the best handicraft shops in Kigali which display a variety of art and crafts depicting the local and cultural heritage of Rwanda. Kigali is one of the friendliest and cleanest of Africa’s cities attracting numerous visitors and investors to the capital. You will have lunch in Kigali;

You will then be transferred to the airport in time for your departure flight.
